Some features of the SEJ web
site, including the member directory, the
listserv archives, the
latest edition of
SEJournal and applications
to participate in our mentoring program, are
accessible only to SEJ members using a
password log-in system. You can also edit your directory entry.
The SEJ-talk listserv, a general
discussion list for SEJers, is a member
benefit worth the annual dues all on its
own. If you aren't a subscriber, you
don't know what you're missing. Tips on
filing Freedom-of-Information requests,
or on where to find experts on the hot
stories, from hurricanes to climate
change. Debates on journalism ethics and
reviews of the latest coverage of
environmental topics. It's a vibrant,
lively forum of SEJ members sharing their
sources, their reporting and their
insights. Comments to the listserv are
considered off-the-record, and are not to
be published, broadcast, or redistributed
in any form beyond the listserv without
permission. If you're a member and want to subscribe, send an
e-mail to
the SEJ office with your full name,
affiliation and e-mail address, and the
name of the list (SEJ-talk) to which you
want to subscribe. If you want to save
time and e-mailbox space, you can receive
SEJ-talk in digested form on a daily
basis. To get the digested list, please
e-mail your
request, including your name,
affiliation, and e-mail address to which
you want the digest sent.
You can also log into the
member home page to access all
of the above members-only features and
more. If you are a member and are having
trouble logging in, or if you have
forgotten your password, please see our
help page.
If you aren't a member, you can
still use this public
version of SEJ's web site. Details on
how to join SEJ are available here. Members can
renew dues online via
secure site.
